| Manitou
Springs - Legend has it that the Ute Indian tribes from
the mountains met the Arapaho and other Plains tribes
in peace to worship the god that breathed into the waters
to create the natural effervescence of the springs and
give them curative powers. This Great Spirit is called
Manitou in Alonquin
Manitou
Springs is a wonderful artistic culturally diverse
community rich in Indian culture. It has been called
the Saratoga of the west and there is so much to do,
Hiking, Biking, Pikes Peak Cog Rail, Pikes Peak Hwy.
Cave of the Winds, ancient Cliff Dwellings, 7 Falls,
Air Force Academy and one of my favorites, Garden
Of The Gods, just to mention a few.
